Candle & Wax Melt Care Guide

General Candle Care

  • Trim wick to ¼ inch before each burn to prevent soot and high flames.
  • Allow the candle to burn long enough to melt the entire surface—this prevents tunneling.
  • Burn for a maximum of 4 hours at a time to extend candle life.
  • Keep candles away from drafts, children, and pets.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Initial Burn & Cure Time Disclosure

For the best experience, allow your candle to cure for at least 10–14 days from the pour date listed on packaging before burning. This allows the fragrance to fully develop, ensuring a stronger scent throw.

The initial burn should last long enough to create a full melt pool—approximately 2–3 hours for larger sizes. This prevents uneven burning and extends the life of your candle.

Be sure to check your candle’s pour date card for the exact date your candle was made!


Using Your Candle With a Candle Warmer Lamp

Candle warmer lamps offer a flameless way to enjoy your Aura by LK candle by gently melting the wax from the top down.

  • Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface and center it beneath the warming lamp.
  • Begin with the lowest heat setting needed to create an even melted layer of wax.
  • Never leave a candle warmer unattended, and keep it away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials.
  • Turn the warmer off when not in use and allow the wax and vessel to cool before handling.
  • When the fragrance begins to fade, carefully pour off or remove the top layer of melted wax once it is safe to handle. This exposes fresh fragranced wax underneath and helps restore the scent.
  • Do not add fragrance oil, water, or other additives to the candle.
  • Always follow the operating and safety instructions provided with your candle warmer.

Please note: When using a candle exclusively with a warmer lamp, the wick does not need to be lit. If you later choose to burn the candle traditionally, allow the wax to fully cool and solidify first, then trim the wick to ¼ inch before lighting.

Wax Melt Care

  • Break off 1–2 cubes and place them in your wax warmer dish.
  • Wax melts do not evaporate as they are warmed. When you can no longer smell the fragrance, allow the wax to cool and replace it with fresh wax melts.
  • Do not add water, oils, or any additives to the warmer.
  • Use in a well-ventilated area away from children and pets.
  • Turn off the warmer when not in use.
